Associate professor, PhD of Transport Faculty, Politehnica University of Bucharest and executive director of Master Programme in ITS.

Short biography

Mr. Nemtanu is vice-chairman of ITS Nationals, member of Mobility Group of Bucharest Municipality coordinating the ITS workgroup. He was involved in more than 30 national and European research projects in the field of transport, ITS and urban mobility and he is consultant of several municipalities (including Bucharest, Sofia, Galati, Ploiesti) having as main task mobility and transport solutions for urban areas. The main European projects where dr. Nemtanu has participated are: NICHES+, InTIME, ISSTE, FRAME, FRAME+, POSSE, EasyWay I, EasyWay II, European ITS Platform, EIP +, SEE-ITS, EU-EIP. Mr. Nemtanu is member of several prestigious professional associations: senior member of IEEE, MIET, SmartCities, ITS Romania, ACM and Euroscience.
