Traffic has in recent years been steadily increasing in several of the country's towns because of increased migration and growth in urban industrial, cultural and commercial life. To counter the increased traffic congestion and ensure a continued accessibility for car and public transport, it is important that the road and traffic engineering conditions continuously adapted to the city's development. In this respect, an update and optimization of the town signaling is an important factor. Economic benefit. On basis of the Danish transport economic unit prices the outcome of the project is calculated. The total benefit of the improvement is equivalent to €5.5 million per year. 96% of this is benefit for car drivers and only 4% for buses and bus passengers. The estimated capital costs for signal optimization, coordination and bus priority is estimated at around 3.2 million. kr., and is expected gradually implemented over the coming year.
