ERTS2 Congress targets all the domains where embedded systems are crucial, such as especially, but not limited to, transportation (aeronautics, automotive, railway, subway, marine, unmanned vehicle, satellite and space exploration), telecommunications and wireless connectivity, Internet of Things (IoT), Industrial control, Defence, e-healthcare and home automation. This edition focuses on publications bringing innovative ideas cross-fertilizing intelligent transportation and IoT.
Pursuant to Article 17(1) of the Directive 2010/40/EU , the Member States had to submit to the Commission by 27 August 2011 a report on their national activities and projects regarding the priority areas referred to in Article 2 of and in Annex I to the Directive 2010/40/EU.
ITS Action Plan is followed by ITS Implementation plan, which is not only project reservoir, but as well defines steps for preparation and implementation of ITS systems which could be either as a part of new transport infrastructure or as stay alone ITS systems regardless funding stream if they are fully or partly financed from State Fund for Transport Infrastructure (SFDI) or if they are coo financed from relevant EU operational programs. Implementation plan of ITS development further more address issues related to development of large scale ITS projects in which could share an infrastructure or selected application within more of Ministry of Transport departmental organizations, or even more resorts or more subjects of public administration.
2DECIDE support and speed up consistent decision making related to ITS deployment for road and public transport (timely, cost-effective, interoperable, positive impact to urban and interurban mobility, positive cost/ benefit ration).
2DECIDE has formed a consortium representing an outstanding knowledge in the state of the art of ITS applications, services and technologies as well as ITS evaluation, administrational decision making, European ITS policy and tool development as well as in the area of existing ITS deployment deficits throughout Europe.
Key ambition of 2DECIDE is to support both EU ITS policy goals as well as national ITS deployments strategies to gain the utmost benefit of ITS deployment and the related investments for a sustainable road and public transportation system.
LD deals with insufficient provision of cross-border traveller information on public transport, particularly considering cross-border commuting and mobility in rural areas . The overall project objective is to foster environmentally-friendly mobility options and balanced accessibility in the Danube Region through transnational, interoperable and multimodal journey planning in urban and rural areas. Currently no suitable multimodal, transnational system for travellers exists anywhere in Europe.
